This picture came up shortly before Documenta 6 by Josef Beuys, along with other works in the same technique. For the purpose, the artist employed tools and articles of daily use. As can be seen, screw drivers, kitchen knives, a can opener, paint brushes, tins, and drinking glasses were all used for this picture; items from everyday life that thus were forever captured on paper. The resulting picture conveys the impression of walking along a lantern lit alley under moonlight.
