The swift, quickly thrown down lines at the same time mirror society’s ephemerality at the „fin de siècle". In my case, such a „Groggy", a drawing or sketch, only comes up in very special situations. A burst like: „Leave me alone! I'm an artist and I have to paint!" can be a reason for me. Or I’m fed up with the things that others expect from me. Or I want to express something without placing too much value on visual appearance. These kind of drawings can also come up when I want to record a small story or a quick idea.
