This picture, being part of a series of six other pictures, emerged from the topic of the „5th Dimension” during the course of preparation for Documenta 7.
From above, the viewer looks at a city on the moon. Functional and busy. Cross members connect the huge complexes to each other. Larger distances are bridged by flying objects. An autonomous city with its own energy generation.
The fact that it’s only a small detail of the city suggests that it is larger and that others of its kind exist.
