The film was shot at the Warner Brothers Studio. By coincidence, I gained access. Due to communication problems and time pressure, the department manager issued me with a permit and escorted me to the artistic department. He probably thought that I had been asked to come. And there I was, right among the animators. Unhindered I made sketches and took photos. In the cutting room, I was greeted amiably. After all, nobody suspected that I had no permission for this restricted area. All went well until the internal security guards found me and started asking questions. A translator was called in, and the misunderstanding was cleared up. Unfortunately, I had to leave the film from my camera there, but I was allowed to keep my drawings and the section of film that I had been given in the cutting room. |
